Joan had her hip surgery today. The doctor said she did real well. She's hurting a little in recovery tonight, but hopefully that pain will ease shortly. Should be out of the hospital friday or saturday.

If any of you want to call and wish her well her number is 518-926-4426.

Maybe if she's up to it we will be able to stop by the fall rally and say hi.

Thanks for all your support and concern.
Marty

Marty,
Glad to Joans surgery went well! Our thoughts and prayers are with her.
My Grandma finally had her hip done yesterday here in Syracuse. They tried 2 weeks ago and just as they were going to operate, she had a heart attack on the table. All is well now and her heart was given the a-ok. She should start rehab in the next couple of days.
Again, our best to Joan, and make sure she does what the doctors tell her to do.

Brett

That's great Marty, pass the word we are thinking of her. Stopping by and saying hi is a good first step, no pun intended, we expect to see her there.

Hi Marty,
So glad to hear that Joan's surgery went well. I hope she will be up and about soon. Now Marty, you do know that you need to wait on her hand and foot, don't you. Just kidding (not really), tell her the Nor'Easters are thinking of her and a speedy recovery.

Marty..so glad Joan is doing well. We are on vacation, and didn't have phone service, so I was unable to return her call. I hope we'll see you, if only for a little while, at the fall rally.

It's great to hear from all you guys. I'm prtinting out this topic as I write this, so Joan can read your replies herself. Doris and anyone else who might want to give her a yell, they changed her room so the new number is 4416. She'll be there at least till Friday.

With many thanks for your best wishes and concerns; Marty

Hi folks, Joan thanks you for all the kind messages. Latest update, she came home from the hospital sunday, doing well, hobbling around with her walker, but still a hurting machine. We'll go day to day and see weather she feels up to visiting at the rally. I know she would love to see you guys, and it would probably be great for her spirits. Frankie, Lynn, I'm doing the best I can for her (considering I'm a grumpy old man).
