I thought I would start a new thread so we all can post where we is (LOL). We is now in Tybee Island Ga. The we being Bill (Vetman)Ryley and his lovely bride Nancy. I showed Bill My route to go South which is down Rte 17 really slow. We left Mike (Driver) and his bride Colleen at Ocean Lakes CG this AM and went 225 mi. to Tybee. Ruthie is inside the MH whipping up a Homemade Chicken pot pie and I'm sitting at the picnic table posting in 70 degree weather.... we will be here for 3 days and then it's further South ...

We are staying overnight tonight at the "Comfort Inn RV Park" in St. George S.C., I'm 200 feet from Interstate 95, 600 feet from a railroad, and the site is under water because of the rain, but for $12.50 and free breakfast, what a deal! We're headed to Daytona tomorroww. Hey Ruthie, save one of those pot pies for Joan! They are her favorite!

We had a nice time in Myrtle Beach with Driver his wife and Capt Bud and Ruthie. Now in Tybee Island Ga 3 doors down from Bud. Heading for Brooksville Wed. People here were very helpful, getting me a spot so I would not have to unhook trailer.

Well, we left South Carolina this morning and had some excitment when we arrived in Florida. We were southbound on Interstate 95, just past Palm Coast doing 65 MPh, when there was a large BANG that sounded like a 12 ga. shotgun blast, than violent shuttering and vibrations. Made it toward the shoulder(Joan & Steph thought we were going to go into a small lake just off the road) and made a controlled stop. Found that we had most likely hit some object in the roadway that blew the right front tire! I'm glad I added "Steer Safe" to the front end, I think it made a big difference! "John's Truck Tires" came and was great! He put my spare on snd didn,t rip us off! We lost about 2 hrs. but finally made it to Daytona!

Bob & Joan,
Sorry to hear about your blow out but glad it was fixed quickly and you found a reputable tire repair. Enjoy the sun and warmth. We have another nor'easter headed our way with the famous "wintery mix"! Yuk!

Yes, Mike we do have free WIFI at Tybee Island, it is as fast as my DSL at home.

Bob, glad you got thru the tire problem OK. I would check all the tires, for any cracking or wear.

Lynn, do you think it's easy changing from long trousers to shorts and back again? When I get up in the AM it makes for a lot of decision making.

Well, we desided to stay a day longer in Daytona, and I replaced both tow dolly tires with new radial ones! One tire looked like a cat swatted the sidewall with it's claws! Didn't want aanother tire problem! Leaving for Ft. Lauderdale in the morning.

We left Tybee Island this AM and went down Rte 17 to the Submarine Base at Kings Bay Ga. We are all hooked up, my dish worked great, (Ruthie loves it). It's a little breazy, but the temps are great. We are discussing dinner right now and will probably settle on Pizza, the food from God.....
