Well, I figured I would check in with you all, since many were interested in our trip. After the National went just over the state line to Arkansas (To get a new sticker of course) and that Saturday night we went to Memphis and Graceland the to Beale street for some Memphis barbecue.
We left on Sunday and went to Fort Worth TX, where I finally got to see my sisters house and we had a great visit at the Stockyards, and downtown Fort Worth.
We left Friday drove to Alburqurqe NM. WOW, what a beautifull place. Just when you thought you have seen everything. We really enjoyeed seing the differant terrain.
We woke up early the next morning and we were off to Williams AZ to see the grand canyon. We arrive early that afternoon, and relaxed. We met up with MEXICO (Pete and Jen and family), and enjoyeed a few coctails. Sunday we went into Flagstaff, pretty little area. Monday we went to the Grand canyon, all I can say is WOW. I am speechless looking at it, (and you know that is hard for me!
We left AZ on Wednesday and arrived in Anaheim CA. I am not sure what the wife and kids have planned for me today, mabye Hollywood or a visit to the mouses house... only the day will tell. Mexico are with us too, it is nice having someone to travel with in case there is a problem, and the kids enjoy familiar faces as well. Well, I guess I will get back in bed for a while. I will let you know when I get some Pics posted.
Oh not to rub it in but is was 48 at night in AZ, and the high was in the mid to upper 70's, keep cool back East

Ok, I figured I would give you a update. We did a trip to Hollywood. We got to see all the regular tourist things, I have to say I was disappointed with Hollywood, I felt I was back at work. What a dump. NY has done such a better job cleaning up times square and the city, LA needs to get with it.
We then drove over to Beverley Hills, and went down Rodeo Drive, beautifull area.
One thing I have to say is TRAFFIC TRAFFIC TRAFFIC. What would normally take 45 min took 1 1/2- 2 hrs. I will post later about trip to San Diego.

New Updates:
Well, while in CA we had to go to the beach, and we went to Newport Beach. Gorgeous, trendy and expensive but nice, just like any other waterfront property. I did get to see some seals swimming after some bait fish. The following day we went to Disneyland, just had to do this with the kids. It is nothing like florida's Disneyworld, but nice. It was just as clean, amazing how they have such a park in a city. One day was enough for Disneyland, but we could have used one more day to do all the shows and rides in their new CA Adventure park.
We left CA on Tuesday, headed to sin city Vegas. We were on the road by 815am and we were all set to arrive in Vegas by Noon, about two and a half hours into he trip, while heading into Death Valley, I heard a small pop and a whistle. We pulled over to the side of the road and I did not see anything, I figured it was a turbo hose. I got back in and had no turbo boost . I continued driving down the hill and got off in Baker CA. Well, if anyone has seen the movie the hills have eyes this could be the setting. They had one Dennys, and a couple fues staions, but not musch else. The motels were 30 -40 years old. The nearest Ford dealer was 75 miles away. I decided to unhook, and leave the trailer at athe denny's and try to make it to the ford, 75 miles back, but the truck would not go over 25 mph, and it was not safe for the family. We called the dealer and told him we would be bringing the truck in and he said dont bother he would not look at it for 4-6 weeks. After calling 5 other dealers all with a 1-4 week wait before they would look at it I was pretty frustrated and about to make death Valley name come true, if you know what I mean
I finally saw a guy from triple A who gave the name of a dealer in vegas, who I called and they said they would look at it Wed Morning and get back to me. They arranged for a tow, and the company canme and picked us up truck, trailer and all. Imagin the four of us and the drive in a Chevy 6500 tow truck. We had to go up to 20 mile hills with a 6% grade. On top of the first we heard a bang, and it feeled like we got it from behind. The driver goes, oh oh, and goes outside, comes back in and said it will be ok, but would be a couple. I got out and went to see what happened and found that the truck came off the wheel lift, and spoon around the wheel actually broke off, if it was not for the chains, the truck and trailer would have been lost.
The driver then had to used the sling, needless to say, dmage was done to my truck. It could have been worse but there was dmage to the spoitler and airdam in front , the fog light was broken and a dent in the bumper. After a 2 1/2 hr tow truck drive he got us tot he campground, needless to say the kids, wife and I were tramatized, even a margarita would not have helped. Pete and Jen waited up for us and help me set the trailer up, and the driver then took the truck to the ford dealer.
WED: I heard from the dealer, I was right, the turbo was blown, and they will replace it and it will be done thursday evening.
TH: got the truck back and yesterday had the Tow Truck compand come see it, and they took it and replaced all the parts that were broken with new ones, thank god they stood behind their word.
Other thn that nightmare, all has been good. We have been real busy seeing all the sites in Vegas. There is so much to see and do. We are looking foward to a vacation here one day without the kids, so we could do more of the shows. And when you here that this is disney for adults it is, even though there is plenty to do with the kids.
off to Hoover Dam today, This will give me a good chance to test the truck out. Talk to you guys soon.

WOW! What an ordeal! Glad to hear everybody's okay and that you got your truck all fixed up. It's a good thing that the towing company took care of the damage that they did.
I hope the rest of your trip is smooth sailing.
It's so cool to hear about this big trip that you guys are on – thanks for keeping us posted. I'm so jealous. I wish that we could be tagging along with you, although, as Lynn says, we are vicariously!
Looking forward to seeing you in the Fall.
