Greetings all!

If you need to evacuate due to the storm, I have a place 45 miles north east of Atlanta that has water, 30amp electric, sewer and wi-fi. It is simply my side yard, but it works well when my folks (HitchHiker ) come to visit. Some one is more than welcome to come and stay a few days if needed.

Feel free to contact me directly...

Eric,

Thanks for the invitation. We're currently a little north of you in Murphy, NC. Not because of Fay, just a good place to hang out until the rain and wind goes by.

I think it was about this time last year we were at Timberlake with you folks.

Hello Dave & Jo Ann

That sure is nice up there! We were trying to come that way for Labor Day and stay at Timber Lake again, but school schedules will not allow.

Have a great time while you are up there in Murphy!!

Hey Dave,

Glad to hear that you and Joanne are out of the Florida heat and in the cool mountains, wish we were out camping too. We were planning on going out for a few days starting today but I had a last minute deal come up with my vacation rental property so I'm stuck here now. If you get up our way, give us a shout.

Surviving Fay!
Headlines should read...Fay gets voters status, she is just not sure which zip code to use. Been around long enough to be come a resident.

Glad she is moving on, central Florida has some localized flooding and a few trees down.

Wondering what plans folks have in place if Ike comes to visit! Today's report looks like South Florida Tuesday...

What to do ... what to do...

Always interesting on the FL peninsula on how, when, and where to evacuate. When Charlie threatened a few years ago, emergency personnel in the Tampa Bay area sent their families to Orlando. We all remember how that worked out.

When a storm approaches from the south, north is really the only way to go. Then once you get to the GA line, you probably want to go either east or west avoiding where the NWS predicts the storm is going. Or you stay put, stock up, board up, and hope for the best.

Hmmmm. You're right. What to do ... what to do .
