I am looking for State Parks in Fl that are on the same style as the Army Corps of Engineers parks in FL. IE large, clean, paved (if possible) open and sunny etc. I have seen a few that people have suggested previously but even though they were very nice they were more rustic and difficult to maneuver in. I do not like to make reservations "site" unseen or without suggestions from someone in the know. Previous suggestions from this forum have proven to be very helpful. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks

Lake Louisa State Park is outside of Orlando is only a couple of years old. All paved sites many with 50 amp and sewer. Some drive thrus are available, but all are in an open area.

Ft Desoto is below Tampa and it is a great park. We just came back from there. It has huge sites that backs up to the water with sun and shade. It is $28. a night, they also have an area for campers with pets too. A fishing pier 2 beaches and if you want to book on line you get a real view of the site you are booking. A young guy was fishing in waist deep water near our camp site and caught a 30" redfish on a top lure.

To clarify, Fort Desoto Park is a county (Pinellas) park and is one of the nicest campgrounds anywhere. However, it is not part of the state park system.
GG1, the Florida State Park system has a huge variety of parks, from rustic to elaborate. Perhaps if you focus in on a particular area of the state, you may get more responses.

Johnathan Dickinson near Jupiter,FL is in a wonderful part of the State and meets the open and sunny criteria in your original post. It also is convenient to as much civilization as you choose to endure...Right off of U.S. Hwy 1 near Jupiter.

Keep in mind that many of the Florida State Parks do not allow pets. The State Park web site will list if they do or do not so if you have a pet be sure to check first.
