Hello everyone we are full time Floridians and would love to find someone in Central FL to camp with and if they are riders of motorcycles or 250cc and up scooter that would be a plus. We are getting ready to do some camping around the FL state and county parks in the near future. We spent a few days at FT Dosoto and it was awesome! Sharon & Marty

Welcome to IRV2. Are you a member of Good Sams or FMCA or other camping organization? If so, they hold rallys where you can meet campers maybe with similar interest. You can also check with the camping clubs in these
organizations and contact a group you might be interested in camping with. s/Toby

Hi Sharon & Marty,
The above suggestion is a good one. Additionally you can go to the bottom of the main forum page and find the Regional Chapters. One of the subsections is titled Southeast Region. This includes most of the Southeastern states. You can look in there for camping get- togethers around the region. In addition to that, you will see a subtitle in red that says "Florida Boomers". Click on that to see what is going on in Florida.

You and anyone else are invited to attend any Florida Boomer event. The group is generally made up of people in their 50's to... well we won't mention that. Some lucky members are still in their 40's. I would guess that about a quarter to a third of the members are actually retired and the rest of us are getting close. My wife is retired, but she makes me work...

Anyhow, we are just entering the travel season when some of us make the break out of the state, so it is unknown how much activity there will be for the next 3 months, but keep checking the FL Boomers section for activity.

As a matter of fact, there is an outing being organized right now for this weekend. This may be short notice, but check the topic titled "Theme World RV Resort Anyone? posted by The Captain.

Also, the Boomers usually have their annual Christmas party the first weekend of December in Titusville. It's a good time and all are invited.
