Some of you may remember the Margueritagrill south of Crystal River. We ate there during one of our rallies a few years ago. A fire totalled it this morning. Here's the story.

I've often said we're an eating group that likes to camp.

You remind me of a 9-1-1 call I answered once from the manager of a restaurant which, appropriately enough was called: Flaming Embers.

He told me there there was a fire up ahead as he was headed toward work.. I told him we knew and fire was on the way.

He told me he was the manager.

As he got closer he told me it was very close to his restaurant (You don't say) I agreed.

He was about a block away when he figure it out....

Kitchen fire burned the place to the concrete, not an ember was left when the flames were done.

Dave;

The newspaper forgot to report that 100,000 cockroaches lost their lives in the fire!

After we were done eating at the MG a couple years ago a cockroach crawled across our table. My son, who is a chef, refused to eat there again.

They did have great broiled scallops and good ribs. And, most liked their watered down huge margarettas.

There was a restaurant a few hundreds yards down the road that closed a year ago. Maybe Tommy will re-open in that location.

-Tom

I don't know about the huge margueritas, I'm not a real drinker but did have a "normal" size one last time. It was so strong I had to hang onto Tom's arm when we walked out of there,I know I couldn't have walked a straight line if my life had depended on it!
