I'm sorry to report that it is raining problems on Tom and Dee Dyrtle Turtles-- both literally and figuratively.
First a major roof leak developed in the 3-yr. old roof-- company did it incorrectly and is out of business. 2 roofing companies quoted big bucks to replace.
Next, Tom's stress test showed abnormalities, so he is scheduled for heart cathiterization this coming week.
Dee started getting severe pain in groin and chest and went to ER last night (Thursday). She is in Orlando Regional Hospital in Orlando where she is doing OK but getting intravenous antibiotics for colitis and tests. She is also getting a heart catheterization tomorrow.
Dee is in good spirits and told me that I could report that it's raining on the Dyrtles and they are stuck in the dyrt right now.
I'm saying a prayer for their health and also that it doesn't rain until they can get the roof fixed.

We're certainly hoping for the Dyrtles to be out strolling under watertight shells very soon. Keep us posted on test results, please?

Well the turtle shell is starting to mend. I am home and I did not have to have a catherization but a stress test, even thought I may have given myself my own stress test. There are no cardiac problems for Drytle. We just have to get PaPa Cooter checked out and get a good report. Little by little the shell will get back to normal. It will just take a little time. PaPa Cooter said the shell sometimes bends but it does not break. Thanks for your thoughts and concerns.

Just wanted to tell y'all that Tom's cathiterization showed some blockages so he is going into hospital today to do another test to better see what's going on. Thank God for today's technology.
Dee said that they're not sure what will transpire from here until they complete these new procedures. Their son T.L. is on his way here.
I'll try to keep you informed. Meanwhile, keep Papa Dyrtle Turtle in your thoughts and prayers.
Cheryl

Dee called and I'm glad to report that everything went well today for Tom. He had 2 shunts put in and will probably come home from the hospital in next few days. The shell is holding and the repairs to Papa Dyrtle are looking good!

Hi All,
Thanks for all your thoughts, concerns and prayers. Tom is doing better and he said now that he has a couple new patches to his shell he should be good for a few more years. We are looking forward to seeing everyone at the up coming rally.
