OK, there is another shuttle launch going up soon. Who is interested in going and which park Manatee Hammocks or Jetty Park?
I like both for different reasons. My vote would be Manatee Hammocks.

Wow- No one wants to see a evening launch? Well I have invited the North Flotida Camping Club to join me/us at the park. So far two families have made reservations. I thought this would be a good way of seeing and discussing ways to attract younger families to our group.

Derek,
Have you already made reservations? for Manatee Hammocks? How long would you be staying? Sometimes the launch doesn't go up until a day or two later. We are thinking about it but haven't made up our minds yet?

Sharon,
Yes I have made reservations for May 19-May 28 just in case they have to light the wick a couple days later than scheduled. They still have sites but will not give you a number so just take what they give you and we can see about getting put close bby when time gets closer.

Ok Derek,
I called and left a message that we wanted to stay the 23-29. Also that we were in the Florida Boomers. Sounds like a good time.

The lady from Manatee Hammock called and we DO have reverations for May 23-30

I just noticed this posting. Moderator didn't tell me about this.

I left a message at Manatee Hammock that we would like reservations for 23-26. Hope they have something so we can join the group. (If not, we'll go back to plan A to go to FL Folk Festival above Gainesville.) But, I'd rather see a launch and be with the group.

FYI for future: Jetty Park says that they don't allow dogs above 18 lb. to stay in park.

Rick,
I talked to the lady at Manatee Hammocks this morning and she has you listed along with Sharon & Marty. She will try to group us together but can not give us site numbers (Homeland Defense or something). Anyone else wanting to go just tell them you want to be by the Reitz's
