My girlfriend was chatting with someone the other day and they recommended this place... the web site makes it look fabulous.
Looks like somewhere we could take the entire family as there's something for everyone...

Any of you folks ever heard anything good or bad about it?

It's on Captiva Island, south of Fort Myers.

South Seas was almost totally rebuilt after one of our recent hurricanes and it's now open for business again. We used to cruise our boat there from our home base on Marco Island and stay in their marina, a great location and excellent destination. Several good restaurants, tennis, biking, water activities, pools, boutiques, a very pleasant beachfront, organized activities for kids and/or adults, or you can just sit around and get fatter. They have lots of condos to rent (or own - be careful!). I don't think it has any facilities for RVs, BTW.

It's a little isolated, i.e. once you're there you won't be going to many places nearby but it has everything most people need.

Give it a try then let us all know how you like it.

We'll definitely go over for a weekend here real soon and try it out, before we take the kids.

As you mention, their web site indicates there's no need to leave the campus, with everything there is to do....
