We stayed at Southern Aire RV Resort last year when we went down to Tampa, nothing fancy, plenty of snowbirds, but it was reasonably close to the show and also to our grand kids and daughter in the northern part of Tampa.

Anyone want to join us? We have reservations arriving Thursday, Jan 14 and leaving on Sunday the 17th at:

Camp Lemora RV Park
Dead River Road
Thonotosassa, FL
813 986-4456

Camp Lemora is about a mile south of Hillsborough River State Park just off US301. They still have a few spaces available. We have never stayed here but the Google photo looks good and this was the place Kissimmee Kids ended up at after their dramatic exit from HRSP a couple of years ago and they said they liked it.

Rate is $31 per night for full hook-up, 30 amp only.

Hope to see you!

Thanks Jo Ann and Dave for the tip on where to day.

We made reservations for Camp Lemora today for the RV show in Tampa. Strange however, no CC # request, nor did they tell us what site. Just said, "Ok you are on the list and we will see you on Jan 12".

Did you guys have the same experience?

doc and Ms Carol

Yep, pretty much. They seem to be a fairly casual place though this will be our first visit. We made our reservations there for the Show days because Hillsborough River State Park was already booked up for that period. However, we will be at HRSP Monday through Wednesday nights before moving down to Camp Lemora. Glad you can make it. See you then!
