NASA is targeting May 31 as the launch date for shuttle Discovery's STS-124 mission to deliver the large Japanese Kibo Pressurized Module to the International Space Station. The liftoff time is approximately 5:01 p.m. EDT.

Looks like you will have to change your reservations.

Marty and I have extended our days to April 23-June 2 at Manatee Hammock. Hopefully that shuttle will go off by then?

Ok, I have also changed arrival and departure dates to include both weekends. I now will be arriving on the 22nd and leaving on June 2. I am allowing an extra day. Did this cover what I needed to?

If the launch goes up on the 31th or by the 1st we'll be set? If not, I guess we'll have to watch it from afar, Way afar. Like from our front yard in Lake Wales!
We plan on doing some visiting while parked at Manatee Hammock. We have friends and family in Titusville, Sebastian and Vero Beach. So we'll be able to fill the days with scooter rides. Maybe even some fishing since I'm the only one who likes to fish!

Hey Captain,

Surely there's more Cooters or RVer's out there, that's can join us for this Manatee Hammock shuttle launch?

Marty made us a Hillbilly golf set to play with while we're there. We're even taking our snorkle gear with us. With the way the temperature is warming up we're bound to be in the water somewhere.

Can't wait to see you all.

Has anyone heard how the campground is making out with the wild fires in the area?

Derek,
The last we heard, Wickham Park area had a fire, but most of the fires are south of our home. If the fire jumped Malabar Road then we would be in trouble. I'm keeping my fingers crossed everything is okay. We are in Las Vegas till Tuesday morning. Got a phone call saying my mother was not doing well. I'm sure Manatee Hammock is in the clear, but it wouldn't hurt to give a call when you're ready to go.

Hey Derek,
We'll see you tomorrow about 3:00 pm, we're looking forward to the week. We took the wood out of the camper since the fire ban is on.

Looks like rain for the first few days but sunny next week.

Great time had by Derek and Audi, Rick and Cheryl, Marty and Sharon watching the shuttle going off. We ate too much but that was half the fun of being at Manatee Hammock and the resturants near by.
Hope you all have a great time at the Keys, we'll miss being there.
