We have been planning a trip to Florida for the last r=few months. According to the RV parks i have contacted and tried to book with on line I expect to see a mass exodus on I95. I have booked from Saturday to Tuesday at Compass RV Park in St. Augustine. Tuesday to Friday I have booked at Point of View Key Largo RV Resort. Friday and Saturday night no set plan other than to be heading north.
My question is this, I know as an OLDMAN I need to see the Fountain Of Youth. What other places do we need to see?

Everybody's interests are different. Do a 'things to do' search for St. Augustine. Lots of interesting places to go in that area.

As to travel from St. Augustine to Key Largo, that's 373 miles of not very much fun travel, especially in the Miami area. Leave early, give your self lots of time.

Thanks, I have done the searches and I have a basic plan. I was just hoping some other members had some favorite spots to visit. I am aware that the ride to Key Largo is a hard road. I have made it on a bike several times and I hate Miami traffic. They run 80+ in the left lane and then will cross 3 lanes to make an exit. I have some experience with traffic, I learned to drive on the beltway around DC. That was a lot of years ago.
Thanks for the good advice. We are looking to get away and enjoy some time away.

Buy tickets for the Red Train that will provide transportation all day around the city. They will also have discount tickets for several places to visit. You can get on and off at each of their stops as much as you want.

Wayne is 100% correct about the Red Train in St. Augustine. In fact, you can go on line and print out discount coupons for it and other interesting attractions. Allow a full day and take in a Spanish, not Tex-Mex, restaurant. We live just a few miles from St. Augustine and never get tired of the historical sites and entertainment. Hopefully you won't have RV troubles but if you do call Ocean Grove RV at (904) 797-5732. They'll help you out. Enjoy our Sunshine State.
