I am not reall sure about how to do links, but I will try. We are having a fall rally in the N Georgia Mountains near Dillard. This is a beautiful place and there are opportunities to do a great number of things. The Florida group always bring so much fun and we enjoy the rallies we have had attended with you guys. If you guys could attend, you would bring a lot to the party . I recall a get-together at Hunting Island, SC and it was a blast.

Fall Rally @ River Vista in Dillard, GA

see if this one works

We will definitely have some laughs and a lot of fun (and this group does eat well too!!)

Straight up US 441 toward the NC line. Four lane all the way from Athens, Ga to River Vista and Dillard.
They have a pool and a heated pool. A very nice dining area they will let us use and a great fire pit/conversation area.

We sincerely would like for as many of you guys to come could. Come on up and have some fall fun and good times with us.

Doc, you need to post this in the Rally Calendar and link the calendar page in your post here. Also link the calendar post to this thread.

I will turn on your edit ability for the first post only in this thread so that you can get the link set up the way you want it. You can also PM any of the Moderaotrs or Administrator s for help on the links and the calendar.

For an example, look at Texas Boomer Labor Day Rally post.

Thanks for the invite Doc. We may take you up on the offer. The wife and I are just getting back into taking the coach out and plan to spend several days in the North GA mountains somewhere during that time period. We have been a little out of touch will the Boomer (now Cooters) group for more than a year. I guess the economy has slowed everyone down a bit. Maybe we can drum up some more interest.

Thanks......

That would be great! See if you can't stir those guys up again. Your folks were one of the most active around (although the Texas crowd stays pretty busy!) Maybe it is time ya'll reclaimed the 'most active' title.
Come on up and let's get busy again.

We made reservations yesterday for the Rally at River Vista in Oct. We plan to arrive there on 9 Oct and depart 18 Oct. I have reserved two spaces. They put a couple of rows over from everyone on spaces 560 & 568 due to size a space availability. I have a friend that is coming down from the UP in MI and is going to try and meet us there. Great couple, Jim and Chris Cook. They are full timers.

**From the Appalachian Camper - Fall Rally thread**
(question in regards to meal plans from the 'leader')

Leader??? The way you become a leader is find a group of people headed some place and then run and get in front of them.

Seriously, when we first started talking about this thing, there seemed to be feelings of no theme type meals. I really don't have any ideas one way or the other.

Carol (and I) have figured on doing sausage gravy and biscuits one morning for breakfast. We have a large crockpot and a smaller one as well. Ought to make enough gravy for a pretty good sized group. Biscuits may have to be of the tube type, not sure we have the space to really make the scratch kind, although we are still discussing that. What morning would you like to do this?
Whomever has the big coffee pot, could you bring it?

Why don't you guys figure out a meal schedule. remember there is the famous Dillard House just down the road if any of ya'll get really hungry. They cook it, set it on the table in bowls and you just help yourself like at home. Ole Henry Dillard started this place many years ago and it is still going strong the last time we ate there.

Am glad to see we have some of the Florida Cooter group are heading up to be with us. These guys are a lot of fun and have slowed down in the past couple of years. Maybe this will re-invigorate them. They have a great group and it is a shame if they let it dry up. We are looking forward to attending some rallies with them in the future.

We are really looking forward to having as many of the Cooters (I stll think of you as the Boomers - but that is another subject) join us as you can. We are hoping the weather will be clear and cool. If it is hot, the pool is cool - if it is chilly, the heated pool is war, along with the fireplace.
