Dropped the coach off at Cruising America RV to get the audio/visual components upgraded.

We're dumping the CRT TV's for Vizio LED-LCD's, trashing the crappy RCA VCR/VHS player for 2 Blu Ray's (can't have 1080 TV's with a lousy 480 player!) & moving the bedroom TV from the swing-out corner shelf to the wall at the foot of the bed. They'll remove the swing-out shelf, redo that area with a fixed shelf to hold 1 of the Blu Ray players with storage below & give us existing stain-matched doors.

Adding air horns - wimpy Ford chassis horn isn't enough to scare those idiots who pull out in front of us.

Hoping it'll all be done in time for Memorial Day outting.

The TV upgrade will be nice. With the setup of your rig, that wall mounted LCD in back will work perfect and be at the right place for viewing.

Speaking of horns....along with the two standard Hadley air horns on the roof, I have a set of these underneath the coach. If you really want to make some noise, they work VERY well.......

Of course, I NEVER actually use them

@Dixieray53: Oh geez, another component that'll cost money. The Bounder doesn't have SS, so now I gotta add THAT.

@Joe-K: Sweet! I'm thinkin' that's just what we need. Are your underneath ones Hadley too?

The factory air horns on the roof are Hadley's but the set of train horns I installad underneath are a cheap set of import ones I picked up at the Emlenton truck stop on I-80. IIRC, they were on sale for 129 bucks and I couldn't resist.

They look exactly like this item from Iowa80 Chrome Train Horns - IOWA80.COM

If you don't mind installing the horns under the rig, you can find lots of cheaper options than the roof mounted style typically put on motorhomes. Of course you'll have to add the small tank and air compressor, but a kit can be purchased fairly inexpensively.

The way I installed ours was to reuse the factory wiring that went to the existing set of electric horns like you have. That wiring is used to activate the air solenoid on the horns so it works off your normal steering wheel horn switch. In my case I supplied the horn solenoid from the chassis air manifold but you can add the tank and compressor but power the compressor from an ignition hot power source.
