Havin' a good time at The "other" Rally

Dave & I are in Louisville at the Affinity Rally. OMG, so many new RV's to see, so many seminars to go to & way too much stuff to buy. It's very hot, temps in the low-mid 90's so I'm glad we paid for electric service. Luckily, seminars, rv's on display & the vendors are all in the a/c'd expo center & there are a/c's busses to shuttle us from the lots to the expo center.

We found Petro, in the sea of 3000+ rigs here, & will have lunch w/him & Bev & his sister & frend on Sunday. There's also supposed to be another irv2 member (JMonroe) meeting us at Petro's rig.

They want all of us outta here by 10AM on Monday. It took 3 days (people coming in at different times) to get all the rigs in here & I just can't see how they're gonna get all these RV's outta here (i.e. downtown Lousiville) without chaos. They're shutting the electric feeds off at 7AM Monday, so that'll make people get out fast. Hopefully, they'll have police to help direct traffic & possibly make interior roads one-way out to funnel everyone to the interstates.

That's all for now. I'm on a "community" pc (12 or so total) set up at a cyberlounge in the vendor area & I should get off so others can get a chance.

Glad to see your post Lori. When we drove by Tuesday the place already looked incredible with a sea of rv's. I hope you make it out without much delay and have a safe journey home.

I've been taking pics & will write a post-event blog. Since I'm at a "community" pc in the cyber-area, I don't want to take up other people's pc-time, trying to get fotos uploaded & a blog written. I try to limit my pc-time to about 10 minutes. Dave took a series of pics from the bridge above out Lot 3. Once we get home he can merge it into a panorama shot that I'll post.

I did say an iRV2 "hi" to Jon at the Brazel's booth. I'll post his pic, too. I even met the folks from Cross Creek Camping Resort (about 10 miles from my home) at a booth here. Plus, the folks we're parked beside are from Newark, OH. How weird is that...we come to KY & see folks from back home?

P.S. When I log-off, I leave the iRV2 Forums page up on the pc. Also, I've given away about 20 of my business cards (thanks Richard for the template). I brought 50, so I'll be slipping them in some rigs around the parking lot tonight. Just tryin' to get us a little exposure.
