I've shoveled twice today & Dave's out shoveling now. My snow yardstick is sitting at 7.5" & we're in the 8-12" snowband between today & tomrrow according to Mr.Weatherman. Is this what it's like to live up in the NE OH snowbelt?

If I get a hold of Buckeye Chuck, I'm gonna have some "Chuck stew"! So much for Spring being right around the corner.

I'm right below you in Kansas. We didn't get so much here. But it was thick and wet. Today it's puddles. Tonight sheets of ice! Not looking forward to more.

The sun actually came out this morning. After checking on my trailer in it's winter storage home, decided to do a little a little X-country skiing near by.....

Any word if Shenandoah National Park received any tree damage? Being fron southern MD. you might have heard of anything. When you get wet & heavy snow, the trees take a hit. I'm going to be calling Monday for a reservation to Big Meadows CG. for July.

There was 19 inches of snow here and below is the proof. The second picture shows what our Ford Escape and GMC looked like in the driveway. In the foreground of the photo is our Garnet Japanese Maple tree, which became a casualty of the storm.

Don't you just Love it snow snow snow.... Had to get out Sat. and do a little X-country skiing. First blue and sunny day for a long time. The next best think to hiking during the camping season.....

Receive my new Kayak license yesterday, so spring must be coming....maybe...I don't know...in the near future....Global warming....ya right....please dear Lord show us a sign spring is in the air. Cuz I'm not feeling it right how....

Frank I would say, you have some work ahead of you. I remember you had a sloped driveway, so that will keep you busy. The sun is out so that will help. I was worried about the Japanese Maple tree I have. I knocked the snow off of it before any branches snapped.

Yep, shoveled out for 2 days and am finely clear...then the DW suggests I shovel out a friend from the campground??? He's 20 years younger than I am!!! Then again he is on drill for the National Guard this weekend...Yeah, I just came back...he is clear to get in.

Shoveling again, twice today. Now I lie in wait for the snow plow to come by & bury my driveway I so carefully shoveled out. Guess I shouldn't complain, we've got it much better here than the east.

Is it spring yet?

Yep- Spring is only 38 days and counting. I was set for Fl. monday - not real sure I can get off my property now. 2" on the ground and 14" still blowing around in the air. I'm like you all "think Spring"

It snowed all day today. 8 more inches. It stopped about 11PM so I took advantage of the lull & did a quick shovel of what accumulated on the drive from shoveling (twice) earlier in the day. When I finished, I just stood there at the end of the driveway, with the snow piles sparkling from reflections of neighbor's lit porch lights & listened to....silence. I couldn't even hear any traffic from the state route just a mile away. It was awesome.

Yea Lori, it does get nice and quiet at times, huh? We are waiting to get the official results this morning, but I think we easily passed the mark for the snowiest Feb. on record.

Looks like you guys had a mess on I71 last night. huh? Can you imagine sitting there for 6 or 7 hours!!!!!!
