Brackenridge Plantation
Edna, Texas
...
Winter weather in Texas changes from day to day! The weekend started out beautiful, then turned to continual rain and bitter cold with the wind coming off the lake!
...
17 rigs pulled into the park and were divided among the camping circles. This made for a unique central gathering place where the campfire never
ended - even throughout the rain. We huddled around the fire
fighting off the bitter cold - but, hey -We're seasoned campers, right!!!!

Plaque presented to the RV park to display in the rally hall
...
The rally hall was down by the marina - a long walking distance from where the RV sites were - most of us drove! It was a large facility, but did not have a kitchen - but hey - we are seasoned RV'ers....right?
...
A chili cook off provided 20 pots of our best recipes!
BBQ catered supper by Eddie Threadgill from Victoria - yum!

A MIDNIGHT PRANK
Bill Richardson wouldn't allow a pink bird to "deface" his RV site
so after midnight (in 20 degree bitter cold weather) Ed Bowen and I sneaked around gathering up everyone's beloved pink flamingoes and placed them all in front of the Richardson's rig!
...
What a surprise Bill had went he awoke the next morning!
