Wife and I will be in the San Antonio area beginning of December thru end of April (except for the week before and after Christmas).

Are there are camping events taking place in the San Antonio area during that timeframe? We'd like to get out and meet some new iRV2'ers.

For starters, we have the Texas Boomers Christmas rally the second weekend just north of Houston. We also have the 2010 rally calendar posted here.

I'm always open for SA. We like that area. We were up there for Christmas last year and had a great time. Year before we were in Corpus Christi and had a great time. This year we have grandchildren coming in for the holidays so we will be staying in the stick house, but as soon as it's over - who knows.

Where are you staying in SA?

Hi John -

Sandy here! I'm too lazy to run upstairs to get on my computer! You know we'd love to see ya'll while you're here in Texas! It;s been a long time since Sevierville, hasn't it!

Check out the 2010 calendar, but the January one is near Waco and the Feb one is over near Houston area. I don't think we have anything in the SA area until about June.

Let us know where you'll be staying and we'll fill you in on all the side trips you can take to see the countryside on day trips while you're here.

If you haven't yet decided on where to stay in the SA area, I'd recommend Boerne (the site where we hosted the 04 National Rally) It's 30 minutes from downtown SA, but close to a lot of neat places to visit in the Hill Country area. The rv resort is AlamoFiesta RV Resort. Let me know if you're interested or you can look on their website www.alamofiestarvresort.com

Also while you're in the state, if you NEED ANYTHING, there are Texas Boomers all over willing to help if you need it. We're real good about showing off our state and particularly good at helping "yankees" find their way around'!! We call 'em "winter Texans" down here'!

I'll send you a pm with my home and cell numbers....call anytime!

Sandy

PS: IF you think you might like to come to our Christmas Rally - it's the 2nd weekend in December - if you could make it on your way to or from SA, I have one more pull through space for you! Just let me know!

Why don't ya'll come on over to our camp out near Waco over MLK Birthday weekend. We'd love to have you and Waco isn't too far a drive from Boerne. In fact several of the Boomers that live in the SA area have signed up to attend. Just let me know if you can make it as we have plenty of sites available and I would be pleased to put ya'll on the list.

John what route are you gonna take to San Antone?????

If yall are going thru Baton Rouge on I-10 let me know.

I'm off from work at the plant for a couple months due to tearing some ligaments in my wrist. So fitting a visit into my schedule would be REAL easy.... (Got a place yall can park with water and elect too if yall want...)

Hey Don, sorry to hear about the problems with your wrist. You should know by now not to arm wrestle with Cathy.
