Baytown - Speedco (Not great)

Went to have our oil and fuel filters change at Speedco in Baytown after hearing overall good things about them, ugh I haven't been that upset as a customer in a long time.

- called ahead to check to see if they had filters, yes come on in!
- 2 hours later, we park.. no filters..
- told I could walk across the street and pick up a new one, frustrated already I agreed.
- wife and I walked not across the street but up the road about 15 minutes to the store and bought a LF9009 for $48.

Come back and they won't credit me for the filter, that I would just have to pay the whole $499 fee, which was wrong, I was the medium duty RV. Then instead of the price they listed they started with the addons..

I gave up, went across to Truck King and had a great experience, $20 credit for my filter (not perfect), and full synthetic change and fuel filters for $249.

Sorry to hear. Need to post experience to Speedco corporate so they, hopefully, fix it.

We use the Speedco in Casa Grande AZ. Right pricing, good service, no problems. They even have on hand the fuel, air, and oil filters for our 10kw generator.

I would also go to this "free" site and post your dissatisfaction on the lousy service of this Speedco. Will help others to avoid this location in the future. RV Service Reviews I have not seen any other Speedco charge that much($499???). That price is more in line of what Cummins-Onan(Authorized Spartan Service Center) charges in the KcMo metro area and that is really to high.
