Celebrating the 15th Year of the Texas Boomers

Kick Off Rally
Texan RV Park, Athens Texas
January 16th - 19th

Come join with us in starting the 15th year of the Texas Boomers at the peaceful, relaxing Texan RV Park in Athens. This is going to be the theme of this rally - Peaceful and Relaxing, so much so that we are planning absolute no activities for the rally. We are going to get together just like the founding group did 15 years ago and just enjoy the weekend. We will have true pot luck meals Friday night, Saturday morning and Saturday night (no meal sign up).

Meal times will be 6 PM Friday and Saturday evenings and 9 AM for breakfast Saturday morning.

The whole rally will be devoted to visiting, playing games in the rally hall, sitting around a real roaring campfire, and enjoying the peace and tranquility of this beautiful park.


To celebrate our mascot - Our beloved Pink Chicken,
we do ask that all in attendance proudly display their birds all weekend

There are no restrictions on the number of sites we will need so sign ups will be accepted until start of the rally

I just saw this. 15 years? WOW!!! You guys must be the inaugural regional group for iRV2. Congrats to the TX Boomers & here's to (at least) another 15 years.

Hi Lori...

Can you believe it -15 years! I suppose we are the inaugural group on iRV2! I remember way back when, all the groups (there was only one or two) were clumped together in one section on irv2. As the groups grew or new groups formed, they began to define the regions and eventually the each group got their own space within their section.

It's exciting to see all the regions, sections and groups now hosted on irv2! I'm extremely proud to be celebrating 15 years with the Texas Boomers!

This is a great idea, but Patsy and I will be heading to Quartzsite, AZ on January 7. Hope to make more Boomer rallies in 2015.
