All new folks planning on attending this event please just ignore all the abnormal comments in this thread.
It's just a bunch of Boomers being normal as they always do

Don, you don't need to make apologies or excuses for this group....Plan on roasting any pink chickens for dinner up there?

All right y'all. I've kept this secret long enough. Pat shared with me some time ago this little known fact...Don sleeps with a feather pillow. A huge (she says) king size pillow. Guess what its stuffed with? You guessed it...pink feathers. Now I know Don will try to disavow all of this but since I have it from someone close to him, I know its a fact.

And there is absolutely nothing abnormal about this post except that a grown man is sleeping with pink feathers in his pillow.

Now lets all get back to the Canton rally...you will have lots to talk to Don about, EH?

On edit...all you newbies should bring pink feathers or at least a nice chicken leg to truly be indoctrinated into the Texas Boomers. I'm beginning to have second thoughts about missing this rally.

I promised Pat to not reveal that secret. But now that you've brought it up...have y'all seen him in those pink pj's? They have feet, just like the ones our kids wore.

I'm surprised at you, Jim. You mean that YOU don't wear Dr. Dentons, too?? I thought everyone did. Pajamas ain't pajamas if they don't have feet in 'em.

Heck, I don't know what I'd do without pajamas that have feet and a trap door.....

This sounds interesting. Sounds like my kinda folks too. But need more info. How far is it to Canton? We don't have a toad (yet), is there a shuttle? Is there a min. age for this group? If 44 is too young (nope ain't me) we're outta luck.

This RVing (DW doesn't "camp") thang is still new to us and we're looking for any opportunity to burn some fossil fuel and burn some meat with new friends.

Now wait a minute. You can burn some fossil fuel and burn some meat but the most fun will be sittin around Don's washing machine camp far. No lie'in allowed though around the far. If'in your hankering to go to Canton you'll have at least two choices. You can walk or hitchhike down to the Greyhound station and catch a ride in one of them nice plush diesel pushers or you can make it easy and ride with a Texas Boomer...we're a friendly group of folks.

Oh yeah, don't listen to Charlie (chasfm11). He don't know the difference in pj's and long handles. I ain't never seen no pj's for an adult with a trap door. But if you gotta a pair, bring'em for us to see.

Hi folks,
Canton is about 23 miles from the Park. We'll probably convoy up there on Sat and double up our rides so we don't have to take so many cars. I am sure if you all want to attend we can find a ride to and from Canton. Let me know if I can add you to the sign up list.

I'd answer you but Jim already told everyone not to listen to me so now I won't bother.

Jim...be careful what you wish for, brother......

Trap door! Does it go in front or in back?

I guess it "depends" on the mood.

Welcome to the Camp Out. Your sign up did show up on the calendar and I have saved you a spot. I sent you a PM for some more information however and as soon as you reply I will go ahead and add your names to the list.

Really looking forward to meeting you.
