Looks like everything is moving along, decided I had better post some driving instructions. There are of course alternate ways to get there, but this is the primary one.

I-10 to exit number 720 (Sealy) Hwy 36, go North about 5 miles to FM331 trun right about 5 miles to Coushatte Rd. which will be after a small curve turn left. Go about 1 mile to Nelius Road, you will see a sign for the park on your right and a large set of towers on your left just before your turn, turn left about a mile ( this is a paved road but a bit rough) you will see the entrance to the park. DO NOT INQUIRE at the small house type building, this is not the Office. Keep going straight and follow the Pink Chickens to our sites.

If anyone has any questions please give me a call on my cell, I will be at the park on Wednesday for a short time and all day on Thursday. Cell number is 281-414-5634. Again there are alternate routes out of Houston and from the north, click the link for the Campground on the notice page and it will show you a nice map of the area and other roads in.

Looking forward to seeing you all again.

This was taken straight from the website......

The website does give a different address than the one posted on the calendar. Click on directions and there's a couple ways to get there from the north or the south.

WAIT! I think I hear Wayne M trying to log on to give us EXACT directions to the location........they should be posted shortly!!!

Sandy

PS: If SOMEONE can figure out how to post the website map on this thread, it would be helpful! (You're welcome, dear. Rusty)

Jim, left, right, straight ahead and back up will change if you have your GPS mounted up-side down. Better take a nap and let Judy get you there....

The original information we recieved was the 615 address, however; for your GPS use the 2812 Nelius Rd. address. As you enter the campground you will see a group of mail boxes on the right. The old mailing address was one of those boxes. Sorry for the confusion. We will be there about 5:00 pm on Wednesday. No left and rights, it depends which way your comming a left could be a right or an up could be a down, that's the way it was on November 3, 2009, and you will be there, Jim I agree you should rest on the couch, let Judy drive and Roxie navigate, you'll more than likely make better time

According to my calculations, Nelius Rd. is preceded by Gindorf Rd. That is, if you are traveling North on Highway 36 you would be turning right on Gindorf Rd. Now this may be FM - 331, but my maps do not show it as such. So be prepared to spot either Gindorf, FM-331, or Nelius, depending on the time of day and which DOT inspector is on duty.

If you miss Track 13-1/2 and still get to Hogwart, you need to make the first legal U-turn and call Sandy on her cell phone. We can send out the search party or just fire a couple of rockets up for you.

Gindorf is the sign you will see on 36, however, from personal experience I do not advise taking this road. Gindorf runs into Nelius Rd and approx 1 mile of Neilus is not paved before you reach the RV park. The max speed I could do on the nonpaved portion was 5-10 mph. It was like a oldtime washboard. Also there is a load restricted creek bridge which is under the weight of some motorhomes. I advise take Coushatte road furthur north out of Bellville. See the map on Sandy's post. Or if you are coming from Sealy, FM-331 is before Gindorf a few mile or so.
