First time in RGV - new Boomers :-)

Hi y'all! We are new to Boomers and RVing in TX for our first time.

We are just arriving to the RGV for the first time. We will be here about 2 weeks, and we like to take our dog with us lots of places when possible.

Will be checking in to Llano Grande.

Hoping to hear your favorite things to do down here!

TIA -

- CC

We have booked all of February there...great place. This will be our third time at Llano Grande and have met some fantastic people there. Don't forget your passports to visit Progresso while your there.

Thanks! Do you take your dogs across the border with you? We've taken ours to Canada a few times, but never Mexico.

No. We only go over there for a few hours and it's only about 5 minutes to the border so we leave our dogs in the RV at Llano.

One more recommendation. There is a great local newspaper, including hundreds of things going on, by calendar date. It's free and web based as well.
Welcome Home Rio Grande Valley

I'm telling you - it feels like home! So far, south TX > FL by a long shot! People are so nice, and everything is SO much less expensive!
