Future Texas full timers

My wife and I are retired and in the process of selling our home, buying a motorhome, and becoming full timers. We would love to meet other Texans, view their rigs, and get some good insight into this new lifestyle we are approaching. We were wondering if attending either the Labor Day Rally or the Fall Rally would be a good time to do this. If so, which Rally and which days would be the best. We probably will not have our coach by then and will just come for a day.

Congrats on the retirement and decision to give FT'ing a go. Personally, I would just enjoy my current friends and family until I had my rig but I'm sure the fine folks at the Rally would welcome you.

Mike- My wife and I retired from the military in Port Arthur, Tx 3 years ago and went full timing. We love it so much we became RV Technician and run a mobile business in Pigeon Forge, Tn. One piece of advise. Go to PPL Motorhomes in Houston, New Braunfels, or Clebourne. Walk around and sit in the different type of RV's We wish we had gotten a 5th wheel but we still love out Class A. If you have question or need anything. please give me a call. 865-223-9609. If a strange woman answers, ask for Dave.

Mike,

If you are in the area of Lake Conroe KOA, you are MORE THAN WELCOME to join us for any and all the activities. You can meet new friends who will be more than happy to let you tour their rigs, give you unbiased information to consider your options: motorhome, 5th wheel...pros and cons.

I'm posting the announcement on this forum for the Labor Day rally ..hopefully this morning.

I would suggest Sunday as everyone will be there on that day!
Sandy
