Just checking in too see how things are going and if you'all are having fun
and to tell you to have some for us. If you'all remember that Betty had
a Knee replacement about 4yrs ago. Well she fell and shattered the bone just
above the knee where the replacement went into the bone. She was in the Ft.
Smith Hospital for two weeks, laying there with a broken leg while they were trying to figure out how to fix it. Then they decided they couldn't do it there so she had to go to Little Rock. The kept her there for a few days then sent her home with a brace , hoping it would heal but it didn't so they decided to put in a new knee in. The knee they were going to use was on recall so another delay. Finally did it on the 11th of July. She is doing real well, had the staples removed day before yesterday, doesn't have to have a brace now and is using a walker. All of this started on the 6th of June.
So we haven't gone anywhere or done anything , hopefully this fall we can.

Heinz

Heinz and Betty

I just cannot imagine laying in a hospital bed for that long...you'd think in this day and age of medical marvels that SOMETHING could have been done sooner!

But we're so glad to hear that she's on the mend and hopefully she'll be over her painful ordeal soon.

The Texas Boomers miss ya'll terribly and hopefully you can come visit us at the November campout in Tyler! Keep it as a goal for Miss Betty to recouperate quickly!

Sandy
