The Bracken's are currently hangin' at the Hill Country RV Resort in New Braunfels - nice park - 2 pools, hot tubs, 300 plus spaces, full hook ups including 20, 30 and 50 AMP at every site, cable, very large rec hall with full kitchen, big BBQ pit area, large out door covered picnic area, concrete patio at every site, 3/4 of the sites are pull thru, sites are good size for a private park, large laundry and free showers, lots of activities for kids and adults, full c-store that also sells adult beverages, near all the water parks- all Kris and I can say is WOW! Oh and they have mature trees at ALL the sites.... And yes they said they can handle Rallys!

RustyJC and I stay at Hill Country there in NB whenever we go to visit my uncle. Everything you said about the place is 100% true. A very nice place and the rally hall is exceptional!

I've spoken to them several times about hosting a rally there, but unfortunately, they do not accept rallies between Thanksgiving and Easter as they accomodate a huge influx of "winter Texans" and typically they don't like to accept rallies on holiday weekends because on those weekends they are booked solid with folks coming in the Schliterbaun.

If you get a chance, ask then in the office there if the rules have changed. Maybe they have because it's been several years since I've talked to them about coming!

Hi Sandy - I talked with the owners about rally's and here is what they said (note ownership of park changed about 3 years ago): anytime during April thru June or September thru October and depending on the number of rigs, they could also do November. Holiday weekends are tougher only because they have live entertainment in the rec hall so it wouldn't be available.

Thanks Jim for checking on this - the "new" rules are more relaxed! This park fills up quickly with a lot of winter Texans and the former owners were VERY adamant that their winter Texan business comes first.

They don't need rally business during the summer because they never have an empty site as families come in droves to do vacations at Schliterbaun!

That's a problem with a lot of rv parks...they don't need rallies anymore! Very few anymore depend on rv groups to keep them in business....so we have to maintain our good standing with those parks we are able to go to.

With that being said, in regards to the new owner's relaxed rules, I'd be willing to book our annual Leaderfest event (40-45 rigs) in 2012 with them. It's a "non holiday" weekend in October (well before the WT's arrive) and might be a perfect time to get our foot in the door!
