OK - hopefully we all survived the holidays and the end of 2010.

But now it is 2011 and the start of the Texas Boomer camping season.

Why not join us at the Kick Off Camp Out of 2011 at Texan RV Park in Athens, TX on 14-16 January (MLK Birthday holiday weekend).

Click Here for more details and to sign up.

We have several sites still available and would love to see all our Boomer friends there.

Folks we sure could do with a few more rigs for this camp out. It is just not like the Texas Boomers to show up for an event with only 9 rigs.

Unfortunately I have to work that Friday and the drive to Athens would probably just about do me in, especially if it's going to be as cold as they say (at least as they can say 10 days out). I got my cold weather in Atlanta over Christmas.

But I do want to make a Texas Boomer event.

According to Accuweather after a little snow mixed with rain on Thursday the 13th, its gonna be clear and cool thru the weekend. Should be dry for the campout.

Perfect campfar weather !

Don, I'm not getting the same forecast you have, Mine show highs in the 40-50 and lows around 30. Sounds to me like great camping and camp far weather.

Bring your good electric heaters, warm clothes, and both tanks full of propane (they sell it there). Long as its dry it don't get much better for camping especially when you think about the Texas Summer just ahead.
