Homeless
After an unexpected offer on our house, scrambling to get packed up in 2 ½ weeks, we are officially homeless. Our only home is on 8 wheels for now. Hope to catch up with the Boomers this fall.

Congrats on selling your house. I'm sure it's a relief. How long was it on the market?
In the next 6 months I'll be selling two houses. I'm going to be so stressed getting them sold. Luckily one of them is a rental. So the management company will handling that, but the one I live in, will be time consuming purging all my stuff. I was going to live in a apartment for a year before I retire, but decided to buy my rv and just live in it for a year instead. Once I sell the rental, I need to decide on either getting a 2020 Newmar Baystar or getting a used diesel pusher.

Why was the offer unexpected? Was the house listed for sale?

I was over talking to my neighbor (now former) and jokingly asked if he knew anyone who wanted to buy in the neighborhood. He said that his best friend had been trying to find something for months. Friend and wife came over a few days later, looked at the house and made an offer that made sense for both of us. We'd been dithering about selling for the past couple of years as the house was just too much for two people. Think maybe God was telling us to get off our duffs and sell. Worked my tail off to get house packed and moved. Closed today.

Being homeless is not so bad......no property taxes to pay.

Congrats! We sold our home and close June 3rd. We are relocating from SW Missouri to the Seattle, WA area. We are going to live in our 5th wheel this summer as we explore Washington looking for our next home.
It wasn't easy selling the place I had worked so hard clearing the land and building. We will miss the view but new adventures are always exciting.

Hot humid summers and cold winters. Unwanted visitors hoping to stay the night.
