Info about the Fun-Fund Auction

….SOME INFO ABOUT THE FUN-FUND AUCTION….

The Texas Boomers is a club that does not require annual dues to join or attend any of the rallies hosted throughout the year. We’ve learned that people support what they are a part of and we've been sustained for 18 years by the generous donations of the members

1) through their contributions placed in the donation box at most rallies and/or
2) through the fun-fund auction held each year.

Every organization needs finances to operate and the Texas Boomers are no different. Below is a list of the majority of our incurred expenses throughout the year:

Our private texasboomers website - $315.00

Website Domain Registry - $36.00

Sam’s Club annual membership - $50.00

Sound System Maintenance and Equipment - $50.00

Publication supplies: welcome packs, lamination, badge holders and lanyards, ink, etc - $350

Rally supplies; coffee & condiments, cleaning supplies, etc - $120

Rally decorations, door prizes, special items or supplies & storage - $450

Christmas Rally hams and turkeys - $100

and

Rally hall deposits for 2018 and 2019 - $1,000.00

(note: these are normally refunded or rolled over to the following year)

Estimated $1271.00 annually

That’s a lot of operations!
Your generous heart and donations help us to continue meeting these obligations and each penny is accounted for and appreciated!

How the auction works
Each attendee who chooses to participate brings a wrapped gift that is auctioned off by our Master Auctioneer. Before the auction, each participant receives a numbered bidding paddle and your bids are noted by your number as the evening progresses. Your bid total (cash or check) is collected at the end of the auction.

The most often asked question is….what to bring as your wrapped gift?

We’ve seen everything under the sun wrapped and bid on!

Gag gifts, good gifts, great gifts and some “good grief what is it" gifts

Tools, gadgets and rv items - anything a fella might love to have
Home, seasonal, personal, decorating and kitchen items for the ladies

Food stuff - liquid stuff

anything flamingo stuff

Handmade and homemade stuff

Once there was a brand new toilet seat that was sold at the auction! The winner of the bid took it home, painted it neon pink with a huge flamingo on the lid and brought it back the next year as their wrapped gift.

???? we don’t know who has it now ?????

Whatever you bring and whatever you take home (and bring back the next year lol) is all in good fun going toward a good cause!

FREE TO PARTICIPANTS
A ton of fun and guaranteed lots of laughs!!!
