July 2013

Mary and I stayed at the Winstar Casino campground a couple of weeks ago. They have really upped their game with a new rally hall and swimming pool. If we can get tentative commitments from 10 or 15, we will start the ball rolling for a July rally up north. Who's in?

It is a truly great campground and with July temps in the 100's it won't be difficult to get sites.

Pat and I will make it if you put it together. The fireworks display that the casino puts on is great and you can sit at your rig and see it all because they shoot them off from the top of the parking garage.

Long time no see. See that you did get a new rig, though.

I made a reservation today for up to 20 rigs July 3-7, 2013. You can stay for any or all dates. Make reservations directly with the park (580) 276-8900 and mention you are with the TX Boomers. We will have use of the rally hall once we have 8 rigs signed up. Daily rate with Winstar card is $20.00; the card is free.

Sandy-How do I make this post "sticky?"

We stayed there overnight the first of October. It is a great park. We'll be making a decision soon and let you know.

You should be able to make reservations now. Please Private Message me when you do so I can keep tabs on who's coming. Winstar will ask you for credit card info when you reserve but will not charge until you arrive.

Wink Texas hotter than h--- in July

Before I even opened this forum, Bill told me we are NOT going out west in July!!! Perrin TX over 100 each day, Moab UT in July over 100 each day. He has put his foot down, but you never know--I have been outsmarting that man for 47 years. (Just don't tell him I said that.)

Nancy You and Bill come on out. We would love to see you all again. We were in Thackerville last 4th of July with a Boomer rally and it was very pleasant. Hopefully it will be that way this year as well. Work on him real hard.

Sounds like a plan to us! That is our favorite full hookup quick get away place and you can't beat the price. We are putting this in our calendar

Since we haven't been there you are talking about the resort about 2 miles into Oklahoma in Thackerville correct?
