Labor Day Boomers Traveling through/near Cedar Creek Area

I am adopting a little boy from a rescue in/near the Bastrop/Cedar Creek area.

I was wondering if there were any dog lovers that might be able to transport this little guy to me at Lake Conroe.....

Cedar Creek, TX - Border Terrier/Chihuahua Mix. Meet Watson a Dog for Adoption.

His name is Watson. He is 6.5 lbs and has been there since April. His foster caretaker and the shelter lady, Adette, says he is the sweetest most loving little boy and we made an agreement a few weeks ago that if he wasn't adopted by Labor Day, I would be bringing him home with me and he would join his sisters Bless.

Thanks folks!

Well, I did, but they were going to drop him in Conroe at noon and I won't be there until later.

Also I am kind of concerned about introducing a new baby at the CG, it might be better if I waited and had him transported up here to home where he will be most of the time, but who knows.....

Anyway, if someone is traveling through there, it would be a great relief if it were dog folks like yerselves Hal!

Winston just joined our home on Wednesday thanks to a wonderful transport lady named Debbie.

He is a sweet little boy and we are all adjusting nicely so far.....

Thought I'd share this picture with the group. Hal and Ginny especially.

Here he is, Winston Bless....

He was rescued by a group in Cedar Creek only minutes (maybe an hour) before he was set to be euthanized (from the Irving animal shelter), they had him for about 3 weeks before he found his way back up here to our home....

He sure is a handful some times. The cleaning lady showed up with her mop in a bucket and he went crazy! He hated it! He must have had bad experience in the past. So I picked him up and got him calmed down and we are now ok.

Always new issues you can't imagine where they came from, but that's what these little guys gotta have, security, stability, routine, and love.

Thanks Don and Pat!! Hugs to y'all!!

Yes, the big thing was to get away from that humidity I think, my left eye was gumming up (tear duct still not running properly, I had Bells Palsy and its not healed up yet) and I had bad flu like symptoms that morning, dizziness, probably the eye, and blah blah blah, just felt like xxit on warm toast

I'm so much happier in cooler weather, big boys like me don't deal well with heat and humidity.

Sure was good to see you, Ginny and the girls!!

Look forward to my next (looks like December-Corsicana-no heat worries then for sure)
