Leaving for Mobile, Alabama

My daughter Christina and I will be leaving for Mobile, AL in the next couple of days. Her father is there and he has been diagnosed with back, lymph node, prostrate, and liver cancer. He is in the hospital now, but will go stay with friends probably tomorrow. Hospice will come with him so we know it is probably a matter of days. I am picking my motorhome up from the repair shop tomorrow and we will leave as soon as we get everything loaded. Not sure when we will return. His name is Rick Spade and any prayers for relief from his pain will be appreciated.

As difficult a trip as this is going to be, I'm glad that you are taking Christina to be with her father during this time. It will mean a lot to her in the years to come. Will pray for his time to be painfree as possible and that ya'll will be able to have quality time with him.

Be safe on the road

Sandy

UPDATE

Unfortunately Rick passed away at 3:00 this afternoon. We were not able to make it there in time.

When we went to pick up the motorhome we found that we had another flat tire. I was not able to find a replacement tire today so RV Masters will get one and install it after shaving off a bolt that we think has been causing these flats.

We will head to Mobile as soon as we get the motorhome back.

Oh Barbara....I am sooooooooo sorry to hear that he passed before ya'll could get there. This will make the trip even more difficult, but I'm glad you're still going. Hope you can get all the "bugs" worked out on the MH issue so you'll be safer going to the funeral and returning back home.

Our thoughts and prayers go with you

Sandy

So sorry to hear the news. I will hope and pray for a safe trip as your family travels to attend the services and for peace in your family at this time of change.
