Christmas

Baby Dunkette had a great Christmas with her new adopted parents at their new home in Point Blank. She helped Mom bake cookies and decorate the tree. On Christmas eve we caught her climbing up the tree to straighten out the star on top.

She made some new friends, all who looked very familiar. HO, HO, HO, HO!!!

On Christmas morning she got into all the fun of opening presents and Santa Claus brought her a brand new outfit since she was out growing her baby clothes.

(Now all she needs to do is grow a little more hair so she doesnt look like a punk rocker neo-nazi)

She had a hard time getting to all the candy and other goodies at the bottom of her Christmas stocking.

After a big Christmas dinner, it was nap time with Dad.
(she is the only one I know that can sleep with her eyes open)

From the pics posted above, it appears our little girl had the time of her life this Christmas! I wondered if she would be afraid of Santa coming down the chimney, but no need to wonder - she's inquisitive and fearless! She could give the ole man a run for his money!

Obviously the lights on the tree fascintated her...causing her to make her way to the top - no doubt touching every light on the way up!

Baking cookies??? Did she get "egg on her face" along with flour, sugar and all? I'm sure she dipped her little fingers in the batter!

All her delights at Christmas only heightens her anticipation for the upcoming New Year's events! Tell her to be careful around the fireworks...she doesn't need anymore "procedures" on her tiny fingers!

Happy New Year to all.............especially our little "doll".....~!!!

"Auntie Sandy"

PS: is her suitcase already packed for the upcoming trip to Australia???? Ask her if she'll bring a koala bear back for me???

Considering the fact she was apparently raised by the book her first year, it's amazing that she has turned out this well. Here are a couple of pages of the baby manual I'm talking about.

Baby Dunkette sure had fun at the NYE party last night. I'm sure pictures will show up somewhere soon.

You mean she sneaked out and turned into a party animal.

Mike you are going to have to put a better lock on that compartment you keep her in. It looks like she picked up the engineering talents from her Dad.

New Years

Yes, as Daddy Jim says "THE LITTLE SNOT NOSED TWIT" snuck out on New Years eve as we were celebrating at Couschatte and she got all SH -T faced We were hoping that our baby sitters would keep her under control but Auntie Jody just got her more excited about the evening............

When Jody got tired of her, she passed her off to Uncle Ron and Aunt Ellen and then things REALLY WENT TO HELL

She still managed to make friends with everyone in the band..............

but she did make some good dancing requests!!!!!!

Dunkette seemed to be feeling pretty well the next day (better than Mom & Dad) when she visited with Auntie Sandy. She seemed to really like the rug rat that Sandy was playing with.

New Years Follow-up

I wasnt going to include the following picture so as not to embarrass poor little Dunkette, but I thought it was just toooooo funny. After the fire works display we could not find the little twit so we finally gave up and went back to the hall to clean up a few things and VOILA!!!!!! there she was passed out and dead to the world!!!

We think she had too much "baby formula" thanks to Auntie Ellen, so we took her back to the coach and threw her into her cupboard where she snored all night long.

(watch for upcoming pictures from her trip DOWN-UNDER!!!)

Trip Down-Under

Baby Dunkette returned from her trip down-under to New Zealand and Australia. She got to visit with her second, 3rd removed???? cousins in Australia. She picked out her seat and was ready to get the 16 hour Qantas trip underway.

We left on Wednesday and arrived on Friday (lost a day in there somewhere!! ). She immediately made friends with the locals in Auckland, NZ.

The Kiwi is the national bird of New Zealand and of course Dunkette had to try to ride one down the sidewalk.

Saturday she went with us for a wine tasting tour on the island of Waiheke.

I guess in New Zealand you can drink wine at any age.

Next day we visited the dormant volcano island of Rangitoto. We thought it was dormant but after some seismic activity we almost lost Dunkette in the lava rock slide that occurred while walking around.

Monday we flew to Sydney and then on to Tamworth where our daughter and family live. While in Tamworth they had the Country Music Festival going on which is the largest festival of its kind in Australia. Heard a lot of good music.

Of course once again Dunkette had to try to ride the local critters like the kangaroo that we found at one of the parks.

Visited a lot of good pubs and drank a lot of good local beers. This one was Dunkette's favorite place.

All in all everyone had a good time and Dunkette did not get into too much trouble.

Welcome home Mom, Dad and BD........

WHAT AN AWESOME TRIP! Those photos are a hoot and we can all imagine the looks, glares and stares you received as you were setting BD up for them! The guy on the plane is a jewel........no doubt he figured you stayed too long at the Hogs Breath! What can we say......we're all crazy Americans!

Little BD had no idea of the life she would have as she lay in her basket all night outside her 'birth parents' rig.....all alone in the dark. Now she is an international traveler with all kinds of exciting tales to tell........and tails to sit on according to one photo above!

I'd say she's one lucky little girl!

Sandy

We can only hope that perhaps by now her previous parents can see what real parenting is all about and have really heavy hearts at giving her up for adoption.

Knowing her previous parents, maybe tending the drink table is not a good idea.

Thanks for the update. It's nice to see she is being well taken care of, now.
