Hello all!

We stopped by the park yesterday and looked around. They are putting us in spot MC12 on the other side of the river. She said they may be able to move us to a better spot before this rally, so I'll give an update if we are not in MC12 at the time of the event. We will be in the Safari Gazelle, with a burnt orange Mini Cooper in tow.

We are looking forward to meeting everyone, this sounds like a fun group!

Reminder - we are moving the coach to the park on May 6th. We are about to have our house on the market up here in Dallas and will be living at the park temporarily while we find our new home there.

By the way, for those that use 220 to go to hill country, the section of 220 between 67 at the north end to Hico at the south end is under construction and is the roughest road I have ever driven on. It has been like that on our last two trips and on the way back yesterday we did not see any progress showing that it is going to be better anytime soon.

I am going to try a new route next time. I'm going to take 35E down to Hillsboro, then jump off onto 22 and take that to Hamilton, then 281 from there. I don't like driving through Temple with all the construction going on, and honestly heading from Dallas to Johnson City isn't much farther to use 67/220/281 than it is to take 35E and fight all the traffic from Temple through Austin.

An alternative to miss the IH35 construction is to take the US 84 exit in Waco and stay on 84 toward Mcgregor, thru Gatesville, to Evant and pick up US 281, then South on 281 to Johnson City..

We will have to cancel our plans to attend the Memorial Day Rally this year. Some things are out of our control. Hope everyone has a blast. Somehow I know you will. Next in line should get our spot. Enjoy

Yep this one filled up fast and Fran could only give us 25 sites. Go ahead and give her a call tho and see if she can work you in. Last time I talked to her there were none on the wait list. She may have a site come available so it would be worth contacting her. Good luck, hope to see you there. Just let me know if you get in.
