GREAT IDEA Don, been a bit cool in the evenings. Amber and I will join you for the veggie soup, do you need us to bring anything else?
I will be there on Wednesday but not spending the night, will be back Thursday a.m. spending the remainder of the campout.

Another GREAT Boomers campout, of course whenever the Boomers meet there is a good time to be had. Everyone seemed to be pleased with this one too. The Castle tour was great, and the food as always plentfull and delicious. Trust everyone made it home with no problems. Thanks to all that attended. See you all in December.

Always fun. Earlene is sorry she was "under the weather," but she'll be ready for the December gathering. She was not being antisocial, but cautious to not spread whatever she had. Heck, if I had not had keys she would have locked me out!!!

A GR8T TIME WAS HAD BY ALL!

As always, when the Texas Boomers get together, FUN, FELLOWSHIP & FOOD seem to abound!

It was great to welcome our newbies, Judy and Ken, and hope to see ya'll back at upcoming events. And good to see some friends who haven't been able to be with us for awhile....good to have you back and really enjoyed catching up!

Miss Earlene....thank you for allowing Wayne to come and play with us! We hated that you were confined for the weekend and hope that you'll get to feeling better soon!

The castle was a very enjoyable tour. I wouldn't want to live there full time, but it was cool to be on the top floor overlooking the kingdom! It wasn't so cool lying on the grass in the courtyard watching the individual blades grow

A special thanks to Mike and Amber for the super job they did of pulling it all together for us to come and enjoy such a superb weekend! A lot of work goes into even a 2 day event...before, during and afterward.....

As long as Mike stays out of the bathroom....he's okay

Happy trails.......until we meet again!

Sandy

* * * * * * * * * * * * * TACO SOUP RECIPE * * * * * * * * * * * * * *
(8 servings and any leftovers can be frozen)

1 lb hamburger meat - cooked and crumbled
1 onion chopped (Amber used frozen chopped onions)
1 pkg Taco Seasoning - any kind will do
1 pkg Hidden Valley Ranch Dressing dry mix

add the following canned goods - do NOT drain juice
1 can Rotel
1 can corn
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 can pinto beans
1 can kidney beans
1 can hominy
(if more liquid is needed you can add water, chicken broth or tomato juice!)

Put ingredients into large pot, bring to a boil on the stove and then simmer for about an hour. Serve w/ cornbread, tostitoes or even fritoes!

It's even better the next day!

Thanks to Mike and Amber for a wonderful weekend. We enjoyed seeing old friends and meeting new ones. The trip home was uneventful, we made it home about 6.
Jim, I think you were the first.
