Piney Woods Spring Camp Out

2 - 4 March, 2012

Texan RV Park, Athens, Texas

Schedule

Friday night March 2 - 6:30 PM - Meet and greet at rally hall.

Bring chips & dip, finger food, veggie tray, party snack. or dessert etc. to share. Bring your favorite beverage. Frozen concoctions and other mixes are always welcome. Stick around for card games etc. inside and a campfar outside

Sat Morning March 3 - 9:00 AM - Regular pot luck breakfast.

After breakfast - tour local sites in and around Athens. The state fish hatchery is very interesting. 1st Monday flea market in Canton is about 20 miles. Collin Street Bakery & Russel Stover Candy outlet in Corsicana is about 28 miles. Or just hang out and visit on the beautiful twin lakes deck.

Sat Evening March 3 - 5:30 PM - Grill your own meat.

Bring your favorite cut of meat to grill on the huge Texan RV BBQ grill plus a side dish to share with all.

Sun Morning March 4 - 8:30 AM

Coffee, juice, and pastries before you all head out for home.

Note : Arrival may be between 8 and 10PM - we will either get out early or wait until _after_ Friday rush hour traffic in Dallas to get out of our way! It all depends on that "W" word ;-)

Ok I am back home folks with all limbs intact. And just for the record we were in beautiful Lake Tahoe not Colorado. Thanks Sandy for keeping the post up to date. I had my laptop but was either too busy or too darn tired every night to do more than read what was happening.

We have 12 more sites open folks so why don't ya'll come on out to Athens the 1st weekend in March and enjoy camping with your Texas Boomer friends! You all know it'll be a great party !
