We recently received word that Jim Sims has been diagnosed with colon cancer and has asked that his Texas Boomers family begin praying for a complete healing.

Email from Jim

Please feel free to post my "condition" as it is today, as I can never have enough prayers sent up to God. Until more testing is completed and the cancer is staged will we know what the treatment plan and prognosis will be. My faith is strong and I know if I trust Him and follow where He leads, I will be totally and completely healed of this dreaded disease...CANCER.

Jim Sims

Thanks to all the prayers I found out today the carcinoid tumor is benign. I will only need my gall bladder removed as a preventative measure as it has "several" polyps that could develop into cancer. Judy and I thank each of you and our wish is for each of you to have Merry Christmas...I got my gift today.

Jim,
I would rather be praying for you and you not need it, than not praying for you and you do need it. So the prayers were not wasted.

So happy that it turned out this way. Just no more real fatty foods.
