Tre and I are sitting in Zion River RV park near Zion NP. Got here thru Monument Valley, Mesa Verde (it was 47 degrees our last morning there - too cold for Tre), a new set of Michelins in Farmington NM (Yep, a Goodyear Marathon blew outside of Cuba, NM). Going to Bryce Canyon NP tomorrow then on to Vegas for a couple of days before turning for home.

Does anyone have a recommendation for RV park in Las Vegas?

So sorry to hear about the fire at Top of The Hill and resulting damage and cancellation. Hope everything works out for all.

We'll try to bring some rain home with us, but we haven't seen any since we left.

Hope to see everyone in Sept.

Jimmy & Tre

We stayed at Hitchen Post. I would not recommend it. We loved Zion River Rv. It was beautiful. Oasis Las Vegas Resort is the highest rated park in Las Vegas.

This is where we stayed last year after leaving the national rally. Very nice and the price is reasonable,(try the pool). The CG is next to Sam's Club Casino and about 5 miles from the strip. A free shuttle runs from Sam's to the strip.

We stayed at the Circus Circus one, now run by KOA. IT was nothing but a parking lot. We won't recommend it either.

If I had it to do over again, I'd try the Oasis, just based on a lot of feedback.

Thanks for the feedback. One of the park hosts here also recommended Oasis or Sam's. Oasis is supposed to have a 20% off available thru a brocure at the front desk. Guess I'll have to check it out.

Sounds like a great trip. Be glad you missed the hot weather we have been having here in Katy.

I wouldn't know, but I hope to find out sooner rather than later!

Sorry I haven't replied for a couple of days - Verizon couldn't "hear me now" while we were in Balmorhea SP and Lost Maples SP. We got back to Katy late yesterday. Heard it had been cold down here so we brought a little warm, dry weather back with us.

Tre is already asking where we can go in a couple of weeks to get away from the heat. Now if we can get clothes washed and a few things fixed, we'll be ready to go again.Anyone for Alpine or Davis Mountains? or maybe Ruidoso/ Cloudcroft?

And Rusty, I highly recommend retirement! Working is WAY over-rated and retirement is highly Under-rated

I am surprised to hear that you had trouble with Verizon at Balmorhea SP. I stayed there for two days last July and the Verizon cell service and internet were both good for me.
