Possession is 9/10s of the law and Mr IceMan...oops TXiceMan....will have the rally hall until such time as all questions have been answered!
But I am soooooooooo perplexed......
Just how hard can it be to learn to push a button that says
I open the rv, go up the steps, flip the switch located on the bottom of the little brown box on the wall in the bathroom area to ON and just like magic, I hear this low roar of a motor somewhere on top of the rv and then air starts coming out of the little rectangle boxes in all the ceilings of the rv!
Then I reach up just above the refrigerator door where's there's a beautiful assortment of buttons and push the one that says ELEC and it automatically changes over from the button that says "GAS"
Thus....... my job is done!!!!
NOW....if anyone needs a finger massage or lessons to learn to use it to flip a switch or push a button....I'll be in the rally hall at the same time listening in and would be available for 2 minutes each!!!
Sandy

Whoa! MAN thing??? There are some of us who do not have a man to maintain their appliances so we must know how to do these things ourselves! For most things I use RV Masters in Houston, but if there is anything I can do myself to prevent spending megabucks, I want to know what it is!

Oh, Ken....you have so much more to offer on the topic that I couldn't spoil it even if I knew what that low roar from the top of the rv was!
I only know about the HOW to turn the a/c on....you, on the otherhand, will share WHY it runs, when to run it and when not to. I'm sure you'll discuss the "parts and accessories" to all rv a/c's and what makes them tick and how to fix it when it doesn't roar!
However, I do have one question that I'd like to have the answer to! RustyJC always telling me that "72" is "72" regardless of whether I feel too hot or too cold! Answer me that!!!

Perhaps Ken will also 'splain why, when we arrive at the campsite and it's 90 degrees in the RV, setting the thermostat at 60 doesn't make the ACs cool it down any faster than if it's set at 72.

Duhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh
BTU
British Thermal Unit
heat required to raise the temperature
of one pound of water one degree Fahrenheit
Now...splain why 72 degrees is still 72 degrees regardless of whether I'm cold or not!!!! I'll never understand THAT!!!

See Sandy, you are already at the head of the class. Being married to an engineer has rubbed off on you some. Now explain enthalpy and entropy!
I can tell you an interesting true story about being hot or cold. It has to do with the moisture content of the air. I had not planned to get y'all into psychometrics...that is totally another field. Do I need to bring my sling-psychorometer with me and does everyone have several hours to be bored to tears?
