My husband Ray and I have owned a 5th wheel Aljo for almost 5 yrs with adventures every other month on average. We are new to north/east Texas and are looking for great spots and friendly people to explore with on our week-end get-aways. We are not yet retired, so we need to be content with mostly short/local trips for now. We’re hoping to find some RVers that want to explore this area, love playing games around the picnic table and maybe find a few hobbies in common for great campfire conversation.
I see a rendez-vous set for Nov and Dec but any plans yet for 2012?
Do the boomers do any "dry" camping(as in free parking and no hookups)?
Looking forward to getting to know y’all better!

Welcome to IRV2. You will love this forum as the people are the greatest! If you scroll down the main page you will find regional groups. The Texas Boomers are very active and I am sure you will get some response there too.

Welcome Aljo and hope to see many more posts of your adventures here on iRV2.com!
We'd love to have ya'll come to a rally. We mostly try to meet together at a rv park or campground.........although some love to dry camp occassionally, but not usually at a rally.
However..............we can promise you'd meet a lot of new rv'ing friends, sit around the campfire and play cards too! Come join us.........anytime you can! Just keep watch on this forum to find out where we'll be!!!
The 2012 roster will hopefully be out in December...still trying to lock in a few dates!
Sandy

Thank you both for the Warm Welcome - I'm so glad I found this site.
I wish I could see you all in Tyler but my problem is that our week-end days off are Sun & Mon. By Sunday most rally people are heading out.
I'm hoping to find some retirees with more open schedules that might meet us on our days off.
I'll post an invite when I know more.
Thanks again,
Gail & Ray
