Sounds like a good place Mike, but, we've decided to head north after the Memorial Day Rally in Johnson City. Its getting hot and we're getting hotter. Planning a trip to a Fleetwood rally in Wy and then back through the Badlands.

Dang it. I wish we had known. We'll be in the Badlands week of June 18-25 and then over to Wyoming for a National Fleetwood rally June 26-July1.

Where are ya'll staying in Interior and Custard?

You need to check with park and let people know that the last time we were there they take no credit cards, only cash or check. I do not know if is still the same, but I would bet on it.

The BEST PLACE to eat in Schulenburg for the Friday Night "on your own" meal is the OAKWOOD (I think that's the name) north of I-10 about 1 1/2 miles from the park!

All you can eat buffet usually at night - reasonable pricing, great food!

New Guy here, this is a website I use to find a park that fits my motorhome and I may call the park directly. The other part I like they have pictures and a site plan for finding the right lot you want and not in the back some where you don't want to be. The web site is called Reserve America Campgrounds. [url=http://www.reserveamerica.com]

www.reserveamerica.com

Enjoy drive friendly and safely.

With the problems I have had using and getting meaningful information, Reserve America is at the bottom of the list. I have found it best to just call the park directly...plus they don't charge a fee to book a site.

I agree with Ken 100%. I've even contacted the Texas Parks and Wildlife about how poor the service from RA is. They agreed and said they continue to work on resolving the problems. ie. RA show a park is full when in fact its almost empty. This happened at three state parks on a recent trip including Easter weekend. Just call the park direct.

Ron, Thanks for the information. I checked with the park and yes, they don't accept credit cards, only checks or cash, that information was not included in the packet I was sent for the campout. Thanks again, will let everyone comming to bring cash or a check. Sandy, yes Oakwood is still there and we understand that it is a great place to eat.

What will the rally rate be or is it the same as their nightly of $30.50 per night? We are thinking of coming but are watching our pennies for the cruise we are taking June 21 so trying to figure out the cost.
