Urgent message to easter eggstravaganza attendees
THERE'S BEEN A BIG CHANGE
SO PLEASE TAKE NOTE AND ANSWER ASAP!
Easter Rally attendees.................
Only ONE TIME in all my 11 years have I had to change locations for an established rally this close to rally date, but I have been presented with no other alternative today. The manager at Serendipity RV Resort and I came to the conclusion this morning that they simply cannot accomodate our group.
THERE ARE NO GUARANTEES THAT ANY OF US WILL HAVE A SITE
WHEN WE GET THERE!
There are too many reasons leading to this decision to list here, but the major one being that there are only FIVE 50 amps sites available to us and there's EIGHTEEN 50 amp rigs signed up - this is just not acceptable! The minor consideration is that we will not be together, but spread out in groups of 2 or 3 all over the park and no one will know what site they'll be in until you arrive! AND I couldn't be guaranteed that any of us would have a site when we arrived!
Our Easter Rally will now be held at
Lake Conroe KOA
19785 Hwy 105 W
Montgomery, Texas
http://koa.com/campgrounds/lake-conroe/photos/
We are guaranteed 40 sites so I need to know
! ! ! as soon as possible! ! ! !
if you still plan to attend the rally.
We'll all be together in a block of sites
Each site has 30 and 50 amp full hookups
cement pad and patio tables
Please go to the original thread to confirm your reservation!
SPECIAL NOTE
Several of you have contacted Serendipity RV Park by internet, phone call or email to make your reservations. You'll need to call and cancel privately with them. Even though you're part of the rally - you made independent reservations with them so they'll have to be cancelled independently.
I hope you understand the predicament I was faced with that has caused me to cancel our rally at Serendipity in Palacios. I just have to do what's best for the entire group!
Sandy

I know, but someone has to hook up the sewer connections. She refuses to touch the sewer hose.

thank you all! I was SO STRESSED :banghe ad: that I was having a FIVE margarita day! And made RustyJC take me to get one tonight for supper
I worried so that everyone would be upset and mad that I had to make the change, but I should realize by now that all the Boomers know I put what's good for the group as a whole first and foremost. I could tell it was NOT going to be good at Palacious w/ my phone call this morning.
I simply CANNOT allow folks driving from the Dallas area (or anyplace else for that matter) all the way to the coast with no guarantee that they'd even have a site when they got there!
I made the best decision possible in an impossible situation - that's what I get paid the big bucks for and I should know by now that the Texas Boomers have stood with me and behind me for 11 years - if ever in doubt, I should look at the pink scroll to remind myself of a great bunch of people!
Just so you know....Palacios is still a great place, but recently there's been a lot of road work in the area. When that happens, the road crews bring their rigs in for 6 months or longer. Business-wize, an rv park cannot forfeit 6 months income to accomodate 2 or 3 nights for a rally. I understand the logic.....just wish I had known a month/two months ago! I cancelled w/ the park and we're still on good terms!
They tried....I tried........it just didn't work out!
Sandy

Mike - can't imagine WHY you'd want to back in, but all the sites we're assigned at Conroe KOA are pull throughs....you'll just have to drive straight and not back up!!!
