Walkabout Campout

Don and Pat, Thanks for a real great time at Walkabout, we really enjoyed the campout despite the weather. As always Boomer Campouts are the best. Our Special Welcome to the Newbies, Jim and Marge, Frank and Janet, Billy and Rhonda, we're glad to have you as Boomers and hope you enjoyed your first of many campouts and Rallies with the Texas Boomers. Made it home in one piece and put the rig to sleep untill February

Ditto on what Mike and Amber said. Good fish too. Gonna have to take Don's match's away from him though. I will post my recipe for that Bacon dressing salad on here and then Don can move it to the recipe section.

We pulled out at about 11 AM this morning and made it home safe and sound. Bill & Marilyn said that we're welcome back any time. That's a good thing

Isn't it funny how sometimes you think the worse, like the terrible weather forecast for the weekend, and some of the best things happen. Well I think we can say that about this weekend. We just had a great time and made it an event worthy of starting off this special year celebrating our ten years of Texas Boomers existence. (If you haven't visited your web site in a while go look at the new home page)

Pat and I want to truly thank everyone who made it to the camp out and tell everyone who didn't make it for whatever reasons, you really missed a good one !

Our newbies were impressed enough with us to say they would be back and I personally want everyone to consider the incident of me melting the aluminum pot full of extremely hot grease on the propane turkey fryer as just part of the entertainment for the weekend.

Hey, Don, did you keep the pot? I'll bet we can fix it with some hi-temp duct tape!!

Wait...I have the hi-temp duck/duct tape.

It sounds like we missed a great rally...

Had a great first time with the Texas Boomers. Everyone made us feel right at home. Looking forward to many more campouts and hopefully a little drier but no worries. Don and Pat did a great job putting everything together and the catfish fry was the best, and my Wife is an expert on catfish. Thanks again for a wonderful weekend… Jim and Marge

Jim & Marge,

It was great meeting ya'll and so glad you attended the camp out. The boomers in my estimation are the best RVn group I have had the pleasure of camping with. Hope to see you both at many other Texas Boomer events in the future.
