Aliner/TT noob can't get battery to work

I just got my first TT and I can't wait to take it out next weekend. It's an 03 Aliner Sportliner.

I have no problems running everything on 120 shore power but when it's unplugged and I try to run the interior lights on battery power I've got nothing. The battery tested out good. Is there an AC/DC switch I'm missing somewhere? All fuses look intact. I'm not sure what the problem is but I'm totally new to RVing and electric is not my strong point.

Welcome to iRV2.

Because of the length of wire from the battery to the 12v, fuse panel, there will be a master fuse or a 12volt circuit breaker within the first three feet of wiring from the battery, usually in the first dry location.
Follow the power wire from the battery , it probably drops down to the frame then runs up through the floor of the RV , where the wire goes inside is where the C/B will probably be found, behind a drawer, or under a couch, even behind a removable panel. You need to follow the wire from where you know you have power all the way to the 12v fuse panel.

Thanks for the quick response! There's a fuse panel with a circuit breaker to the left of the fridge near the floor. All five fuses are intact. The breaker is in the ON position. There is another fuse about 6 in. down the line on the wiring coming from the battery. It's good too. I don't see anymore fuses. Maybe the previous owner jacked around with it. I'm learning his handy work wasn't too impressive.

With the RV plugged in to shore power , check the voltage at the fuses.
You should have 13.2>14 volts if the Convertor/Charger is functioning, and I imagine it is , if the lights are operating on shore power.
Then test for the same voltage at the battery.
If you see lower ( only battery voltage) at the battery , then check the voltage in the fuse holder at the trailer end, if you don't have , C/C power there , then you have a second inline fuse or a bad wire between that fuse and the fuse panel.
Are you visually inspecting the fuse , or testing it with an ohm meter?
With fuses; looks good , isn't always good.

Check your converter, that's where the fuses and breakers are. Some have a switch for ac or dc. Magnetek 6600 series converters are like that. Some models only convert the power from AC to DC without charging the battery. If that's the case upgrade to a Progressive Dynamics with a smart charger.
