We are looking for a lightweight pop-up, and the hard-sided sounds good. What experiences have been had with the Aliners> LE or LXE?

Would tow with an older V-8 Expedition or a new, better gas mileage SUV (if there is such a thing!)

Thanks
Sally and Tim

Hay Sally; If your not totally decided on the Aliner, maybe you should look at the HI.Lo or the Trail manor, both crank up and have hard sides. We were looking hard and decided when we replace the Pop-up, it will be a Class A or C.

Have a great day!

Try the a-frame group at

Also don't rule out the Chalet.
I own one and felt the fit and finish was better than Aliner.
Chalet factory has been great and they even resolved an issue out of warranty for me.

We had an Aliner for 4 years... took it to Alaska solo, and then 2 of us went to Newfoundland... great unit for touring... then we bought a HiLo Towlite 22' and loved it... we now have it for sale on www.bhclife.com/hilo/ and are going up to Forest City, Iowa, tomorrow to pick up a new Winnie View 23B which will be our new love, running between grandkids.... If you look at HiLo, get one 2003 or newer to get the 15' tires (vs 13')... rides better and very stable in wind, etc..
