There is a used Camplite pop-up nearby that I'm going to check out. Looks like they are no longer in production, so it is harder to find info on them. Anyone have any knowledge or experience with this brand? Any problems to look out for? The model I'm going to look at is a '96, with a slide and king size beds on the ends. I'm guessing it must be on a 12' box, but I could be wrong.

Thanks for any info you can share.

I have a 2000 Camplite 12SL. We have owned it since new and have been very happy with it. Camplite used the same parts for the lift system, brakes axles and appliances as the other manufacturers. This means that these parts are readily available. AFAIK, the Camplite trailers have Queen size bunks only. Can you tell me what model your are looking and if it is a slideout unit. Camplites were manufactured by Damon industries until 2000. In 2001 Keystone bought the Camplite division and manufactured these units only in 2001. Late 2001 Keystone was bought by Thor industries who discontinued this line of trailers. No matter what used trailer you buy, you really need to give it a very close inspection. Tim5055 has a great checklist on his website of things to look at when buying a used trailer. Here is the link to his site:

I have a '96 Damon Camplite w/ slide and queen beds. I love it! One of the best PUPs that I've come across. Lots of room! My wife shares the front bed with my 4 yr. old daughter, 10 yr. old son sleeps where the dinette is and I get the other bunk all to myself b/c I read late into the night. The Camplite w/ slide is far roomier at the dinette than my parents' 5th wheel (bigger table and more room at the table and that's usually where we play cards rather than their 5th wheel (we can get 6 around the table). We bought this last spring and haven't regretted it yet.

Oh and one more thing...I recently sold the Suburban and got a Honda Odyssey and had no problems pulling the PUP. The only changes to the Honda were the addition of PS and Tranny coolers (required by Honda for warranty) and next week it gets AirLift bags in back. Anmyway, the Honda pulled it easily.
