Good experience then. I love pups but found the limitations too restrictive which is why I moved up to our TT. More batteries, more roof for panels, larger holding tanks, and more interior space. Also setting up/breaking down in the rain was annoying.
Still pups are light and easy to tow and small enough to get into just about any camp site. Maybe when my kid is off to college I'll think about another pup but it will have to be a hardball like those A frame ones because dealing with canvas is something I will never miss.
My battery recommendation is at least 2 of the same size. If you have room in your passthrough your can put a pair of AGM batteries in there and wire them up in parallel. That's what I did since they are sealed. Or look for high AHr solar batteries. One Maxtank AGM battery can easily be over 200AHr but they are pricey. I have 2 x 125AHr batteries and they are $280 each but when we boondock during the day we can run small fans, charge devices, run the water heater, etc and never go below 80% combined with solar charging. We reserve the generator for microwave and A/C use for really hot days.
