Hi, I have a 2003 Flagstaff pop up. I have heard of some problems with the actual roof paneling developing small cracks and leaking over time. I have noticed several small fine cracks in mine, and I am wondering what to use to coat the whole roof with. Would like something clear so it doesn't look like crap. I found this but wasn't sure if it was ok to use. What do yall think ?

I guess it is fiberglass. Thanks for the tip. So I searched using the word crazing and found some info. Thanks Midniteoyl for the help. On another forumn I found someone with the same issue and had contacted the manufacturer and they suggested Geocel Proflex which I mentioned above. It is clear. Also Dicor has a similar product that is white. Any suggestions on which to use. Clear wouldn't be noticable but since the camper is a 2003 the roof has yellowed some and the white might be a good option. Just wondering your thoughts. Thanks, here is the link to the Dicor

That Proflex is the same as 'Ultima' sold here that I've used before. You CAN see it. Its like a clear rubber cement look.. I would personally just paint it..

What kind of paint to use ? Will paint act as a sealant too ? The Dicor and Profles are paintable. should I use that and then paint ? Will topside type marine paint work for that ? Thanks alot for your help

If you prep/sand/prime, you can use any auto or marine paint you wish... yes, this will seal the crazing..

ok, thanks for all of your help. Do you think using one of the other products and then painting over that if it looks like crap will be ok ? Just thinking that sanding it will be a job since the top is textured. Thanks so much for your help.

Those coatings are thick... real thick. Painted or not, it will look like crap. Think concrete crack filler...
Sanding can be as easy as a red scouring pad. Follow with some epoxy primer and paint...

Oh ok, so the sanding doesn't have to be hardcore, just kinda to scuff the surface and clean it up good ?

Looking on other forums, I see people talking about using the Dicor brand or kool Seal brand and it looking good. Any difference to this Kool seal ? Marine paint would be the easiest and look good but I want to do what's right as far as sealing and protecting. Sorry for tall the questions, just don't want to use something that looks like crap and then i'm stuck or use something that doesn't seal and protect.
