I need to install a hitch on my S-10 Blazer 4X4. I have decided that I want a class III hitch, even though my PU only requires a class II. I have never bought a hitch. What should I look for? I have already decided on a Prodigy brake controller.
Should I just shop price, go to Uhaul, or look at all of the brands? Of course, I have only 4 days to make my selection and get the unit installed. I would like to keep the unit as tucked away as possible in order to minimize loss of clearance for my 4X4.
What do you suggest?

A bad day camping is better than a good day at work.

Greetings, I have had 2 blazers, fitted both with a class 4, 2inches square... over kill? maybe, but never had any problems with them.. Hidden hitches somtimes are hard to put the toungue bolt into, you have to lay on the ground to do it, so that is a matter of choice. It is the drop down toungue that changes your ground clearance the most... on this model of GM. Uhaul has service locations all over if needed... cheers.

I just installed my second Putnam Hitch from [URL=www.hitch-web.com]Hitch-Web[/URL. The first was on a '01 Dodge Ram 1500, this time on my '99 Ford F-350. Both of them bolted right on using existing holes in the frame. The price was good, and service and delivery was great. I ussually try and stay away from uhaul. You can find a better deal. If you donlt want to install yourself, check with your local RV dealers.
